#Blogtober14 If I Won The Lottery...

A few days ago I started a discussion about trademarking. Last week millions of people tuned into Anthony Anderson's new show Black-ish. He later announced that he trademarked the phrase Bro-Mitzvah after throwing it for his son. It was a super responsible act, but made me think. Because they have the money, a lot of celebrities tend to take ownership of words, websites, etc. as soon as they can.

Jay-Z and Beyonce trademarked Blue Ivy's name after a lot of people tried to profit off of it when baby Blue was first born. The NFL owns the words Super Bowl. The word police is even trademarked. That's why its illegal to pretend to be a police officer. Just look it up. These are just a few examples.

You might be wondering what this all means to me. OWNERSHIP! If I was to trademark something I would absolutely own it. If I won the lottery it would make the process even quicker. I could trademark things most important to me (that is what hasn't been done already), pay off all my student loans, and pay off my credit cards quickly. Then I could really start onto the journey of having grown-up things like emergency savings accounts, regular savings accounts, investing a little money in a stock, and a surplus of money in my regular checking. I wouldn't move or quit my job, because as quickly as stability appears it disappears. Plus I still have some more planning to do for my future career and half of that lottery money goes to the government anyway.

This is only if I was to win a million or more of course. It's day one of #Blogtober14. This is going to be an interesting month.
