School Lessons- TEXT MESSAGING

School has been in for a week and already I'm learning a lot. One of my recent lessons have been about texting messaging.

I have always thought of texting messaging as simply sending messages to people and receiving messages, but it is much more than that. Texting can be healthy.

Texting can help improve health in arguments. Here are a few examples how.

*Texting can help keep your blood pressure down. When two people argue face to face they tend to show and then their blood pressure goes up. Rising blood pressure is not a good thing.

*Texting can keep your fingers in shape. Yes, it's exercise. The more you text the more blood keeps flowing through your fingers and that is a good thing.

*Texting can prevent people from physically getting hurt. If two people get mad enough when they are arguing physical fights can break out or things can get thrown. When you text only the words can hurt.

So think about your health and text next time you feel like arguing with someone

Til Death Do Us Part

Yesterday I was watching the show Drop Dead Diva and there was a scene where one of the lawyers was discussing marriage with her client. She told her client she didn't want to date him because he was married and she ultimately wanted to believe in happy marriages. He asked her why because he thought a marriage that lasts forever is not living in reality.

Although this is on a show I've heard people express it and I don't understand. What's so wrong with thinking two soul mates will meet, fall in love, and live happily ever after? Is wanting to get married and have a happy family just living in a fantasy?

Generations before us were able make marriages last. Contrary to statistics a lot of our relatives are living in happy marriages, so why is it that my generation thinks it is impossible to take the vows and live by them?

READY OR NOT...

I've slowed down on writing on this blog lately, but it's encouraged me to follow my dreams. I always had this dream of becoming an author and after going over several poems I've written throughout the years I figure there's no time better than the present to start working on it.

I don't have a title for this book yet, but I've started working on it. The first section of the book will be a compilation of poems I wrote based on my thoughts of love. I will call this section Puppy Lust because girls (or maybe just me) come into college looking for love, but during the search lust can easily take it's place and appear to be love.

The book is just a plan in the works, but one day it will (hopefully) be a successful bestseller.

My biggest inspiration for writing comes from other writers and what I listen to most when I'm writing is music. Music without the fancy background noise is just poetry and one artist that helps me to express my poetic words is Lauryn Hill.
