Woman Manifested: One Inspiration Behind The Book

Hey. Hello. What's Up? Woman Manifested, A Poetic Tale by Lashuntrice (me) will be available March 1st. You can preorder now if you enjoy reading books on Kindle.

I've been working hard on getting my book ready for you all to read and I want to share some inspirations behind it. One huge inspiration is Hip Hop. I'm a part of the generation that was raised on Hip Hop. It's hard to hide. I breathe, eat, and sleep musical lyrics sometimes. I can't eat chicken without thinking of Future's lyrics "chicken wings and fries, we don't go on dates," so it shouldn't be any surprise that a writer like me would use music to create.

One song that helped my imagination years ago when I was going through a tough time was Ludacris' My Chick Bad remix. It was my last semester in college and I had absolutely no idea what to do with my life after graduation. Hearing a song like this didn't help my goals, but it did inspire me to want the luxuries that life office. In the song Rappers' Diamond, Trina, and Eve joined together and spit a whole lot of female empowerment. Well, they were also saying to meet a man that will spoil us. It was total awesomeness. This isn't actually in the book, but feel nostalgic with me and watch that video.
