Advice From Dr. Bradley (That's Me)

I'm not a counselor. I only minored in psychology in college, but ever since the beginning of highschool people have asked me for advice. I used to try to help them, but as I got older I learned how counseling really works.

Counseling is not always about offering a person the best advice. Sometimes it's just about listening. Usually listening works because people already know the answer to their questions. They already know how  to solve their problems. They just need someone to hear what's on their mind.

So if someone wants to talk to you about a problem they have, just listen. Don't try to help unless they ask for your help.
