R&B Divas Season 2 (The Mess Starts)

"Diva is a female version of a hustla."-- Beyonce

What happens when you put a whole bunch of divas a television shows? No, not the divas that you had never heard of before Vh1 and not the ones who happened to be playing the role of housewives before cameras started rolling. These are divas who we've been hearing on the radio, music channels, and parties for at least 10 years.

Season two of R&B Divas is in full effect and following the guidelines of what reality television began with. That's drama, drama, and more drama. The first season features singers Monifa Carter, Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson, Nicci Gilbert, and KeKe Wyatt. In this new season Angie Stone and Latocha Scott (of Xscape) have been added to the cast.

We were already introduced to KeKe Wyatt's mood swings, which she's working on. Those mood swings along with criticism from other cast members also make her not join the cast for the second season. She is not the one to take all the drama lightly. However, she's not the only with issues.

Sometime between the first season and the premiere of the second season Syleena Johnson and Nicci Gilbert started arguing. Why they are mad at each other is not clear.

What is clear is that unlike most reality shows R&B Divas has a lot of talent we have already fallen in love with and a lot of personality we never realized was there. Or maybe we did realize the personalities. That's why they're divas after all.

Anyway, I'm watching. Are you?
