Real Housewives of Atlanta Finale Review

Last night the Real Housewives of Atlanta came on and there were definitely some interesting moments. Here's a run down of what happened with each character.

Cynthia
The highlight of last night's show was Cynthia's wedding. At the beginning of the day Cynthia seemed nervous about Peter. Instead of encouraging her to have a positive attitude everyone (except her daughter) tried to convince her not to marry Peter. No one was positive. In fact Cynthia's mother and sister hid her marriage license in order to put even more doubt in her mind. However, in the end Cynthia slid on her custom made wedding dress and made what she thought was the best decision of her life. (Sidenote: I read an interview recently on Peter Thomas. That man is a real tough, masculine man. Very few women can handle a personality like his.)

Phaedra Parks
Phaedra went back to work and cried, because she was missing her son before she could even leave his sight.  She also showed off her after pregnancy figure. More than anything, Phaedra showcased the love that she has for her new family.

Kandi
Kandi didn't have a big part in this episode. What she did do is explain to Kim that "The Ring Didn't Mean A Thing" is not Kim's song and Kim does not have the rights to the song.

Kim
Kim spent the entire episode avoiding NeNe. Their friendship was over with no forms of repair. Kim also bragged about getting her boobs done a second time and attacked NeNe's boob job.

NeNe
NeNe spent some of the episode avoiding  Kim, but Kim was not always on her mind. NeNe showed her motherly side on television and ended her marriage at the same time. Then she went to Cynthia's wedding and smiled genuinely for the first time during the season. (Sidenote: Months before this season even hit the air there were rumors going around about NeNe's marriage. It's sad how we forget that these people aren't actors. They are real people revealing their real problems on network television.)

Sheree
Sheree showcased her acting skills, which seemed to suck. However, she got the part she auditioned for. I think she only got it because her face is recognizable. By the end of the show Sheree seemed happy.

The season may be over, but the reunion show is coming up. Expect to see NeNe and Kim argue some more. Also expect friendly moments between the rest of the cast.

Fashion Moment: 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards

The 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards this past Sunday had some awesome fashion. Below are some of my favorites.

Mila Kunis looked hot in a red and white Alexander McQueen dress.

Jennifer Lawrence blinded people on the red carpet in her bright pink Oscare de la Renta gown. Although I'm sure it will make someone's worse dressed list, I love it.

My favorite was the Louis Vuitton dress that Claire Danes wore on the red carpet.

Fashion Moment: Angela Simmons In Some Killer Heels

Angela Simmons, part owner of Pastry Shoes, tweeted a pictures of the above shoes to her followers today. I must admit they are hot and I'd break my neck in them.

Don't Deprive Me (Poem)

Don't Deprive Me
By Miss Too Sexy

Don't deprive me
Don't mess with my mind
Don't play games with my heart
Because you could be the man I've always fantasized about
Or you could be the one that corrupts my thoughts
See, I've been dreaming about you for a while
You had my child fantasies going wild
You were the Ken to my Barbie
The prince when I pretended to be Cinderella
The one that promised to kiss me out of  my dreams
When all the other kids hung together you were my imaginary friend
In my imagination I always knew we would be in sync
So if you can't live up to a fantasy let me know now
Because I don't know if I can handle it later
Please don't play games with my heart
And don't lead my mind on
Don't deprive me
Just leave me with the feeling that love will one day come.

Nicki Minaj Moment For Life Music Video

Since forever Brandy has been the black Cinderella, but in Nicki Minaj's new "Moment For Life" music video she took the crown as Cinderella and the fairy Godmother. The thing about it is "Moment For Life" gives me life and this video rocks. Check it out below.

Taraji P. Henson Goes On The Chelsea Lately Show

Last night Taraji P. Henson went on The Chelsea Lately show for some girl talk. During the interview she discussed many things, such as wanting a man in her life. Watch the interview below.

Destiny's Child Throwback Footage

Today I felt like  listening to Destiny's Child and I came across an old BET Awards performance. In the video they perform "Cater To You" and they pull three men out of the audience. The three men are Magic Johnson, Nelly, and Terrence Howard.

P.S. Carefully observe how Nelly and Kelly are. I've always thought they worked perfectly together.

In The Case Of Rob Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan.....

Recently I read a blog post written on necolebitchie.com about new drama involving Laura Govan and Rob Gilbert Arenas. Apparently there are rumors that she robbed his house and took a bunch of things. The sad part is although Govan  has his four children, he cut her off financially. That means she had no money for her children coming from him. What's crazier is.....

I started reading the comments on the blog post. A lot of people were cruel towards Laura Govan. They called her a gold digger and a woman craving the wrong attention. The comment that surprised me the most is someone thought she had his children just to keep him, but....

When a woman has a child to try to keep a man she gets pregnant once. If the man gets her pregnant four times that means there was a mutual connection. She wasn't being stupid and she wasn't trying to keep him with several of his kids.

Another thing that struck me about the comments was all the blame kept being pointed to Laura Govan. Men do 100 times more dirt than women do. No one wandered what kind of attention the children might be getting from their father. No one bothered to judge him on his actions. Why is all the blame solely being put on her?

The final thing about the post that caught my attention was what Necole Bitchie said at the end. She said that had to be more to their break-up because a man would not just walk out. That's so not true. Men leave for the tiniest reasons. A woman can be perfect and a man will walk away simply because she's perfect

I wrote all that to say it's not always the woman's fault. He got her pregnant four times and then left her with no explanation (at least that's what the public knows). He's not giving her any child support money. There's a lot that he and other men don't do. Stop blaming every relationship/family issue on a woman, because the man should take just as much of the blame.

Stars Can't Express Themselves On The Internet (Inspired By Terry McMillan)

The internet is a fun place. Actually it's more than a fun place. For some of us who's lives are not quite established and we're trying to find a voice the internet can serve as our outlet. For those people who have lived their lives and have tons of advice to give, the internet can be their outlet too. The only problem is if those people are stars they can't express themselves as much as they want.

Soulja Boy Looks Just Like The Rock

Or at least that's what he thinks. Around midnight Soulja Boy jumped on his tweeter and showed the world just how high his confidence was. He tweeted every conceited thing that came to mind. He even compared himself Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock. Check some of the tweets below.

"i'm on my soulja boy shit in 2011 i'm the best prettiest sexiest richest nigga you ever seen i'm the best there's ever been immaculate
Let's just all be honest i'm too sexy, what else is new tho?
if my money was equivalent to my looks, I would give every one in the world 100,000$ ... yeah.. it's that's good.
to be honest, I look exactly like orlando bloom and otto from rocket power.
I look just like Dwayne johnson that's on everything I'm the rock in his prime IF YA SMELLLLLLL ELL ELLLL WHAT SOULJA BOY IS COOKING?"

Yeah, he had a lot of confidence. While Soulja Boy was having fun feeling himself up with pride, others didn't feel the same way as him. Several celebrities, such as Chris Rock and Katt Williams, voiced their opinions to Soulja Boy over twitter. Some tweets are below.

"Talkin bout he look like Goku n Brad pitt see what the fuck im talkin bout? they give people like him actual RECORD DEALS smh"

"Yall stare at this bitches twitter back ground real quick thats a real rapper? Im Done @"
-Katt Williams

"Whoa @ said he looks like The Rock?! LMFAO! This boney nigga look more like Pebbles from The Flintstones. Ass nigga"
-Chris Rock

All of their tweets were funny. However, I really hope Soulja Boy just wanted to entertain the public. After all he's not a real rapper. He's an entertainer. There's a difference. Plus, after a man gets his whole body tattooed he does a good job of killing his sex appeal.

Lyricist Lounge: Simplicity

Today I heard about this singing group called Simplicity. After hearing them on 106 and Park and youtube, I'm convinced these girls can sing. I hope they have a record deal already. Listen to them below. You will be blown away by their voices.

Simplicity is composed of three singers. There's Tasia, who is the youngest. Then there's the twins Starr and Sha'tarr. They are from Brooklyn, New York.

Steve Harvey's Wife Marjorie Is Pressing Charges Against His Ex

Over the weekend Mary Harvey, Steve Harvey's ex wife of 15 years, released several videos where she revealed Steve's dirty laundry to the world. However, Steve Harvey was not the only person that she attacked. Marjorie Harvey, Steve's current wife, was also mentioned and she's not happy about it.

Marjorie Harvey has now filed defamation charges against Mary. She also released a statement to Black Voices on the issue.

As a wife and a mother, I cannot stand back and allow the defamation of my character or actions that will malign my family"

"So, I will do what I need to do to the greatest extent of the law.”

Steve Harvey also addressed the issue on the nationally syndicated radio show. He mentioned how he could handle her attacking his character, but not his wife and children (one of which mentioned is her child too). Over the weekend this was a one-sided bitter woman's argument. Now the sh*t has hit the fan. Or should I say it's a messy battle.

Either Beyonce Is Pimping L'oreal....

Or L'oreal is trying to lie to get us to buy their products. Beyonce has been a spokeswoman for the cosmetics line L'oreal for a while now, but recently I've started to notice oddness in the commercials. One odd thing that  I noticed was a recent commercial involving Feria hair color by L'oreal. Watch the commercial below and continue to read.

First of all, when I first watched the commercial I thought she was a white woman. Then after watching it again several times I realized what L'oreal was trying to do. They were trying to make her look like the white woman on the box, which is odd. Any woman could want to get her hair color changed, but not any woman can look like that white woman on the box.

That wasn't the only thing that stood out to me though. Another problem with the commercial is Beyonce is advertising hair coloring, but she wears wigs. When you buy a wig it already comes colored. It doesn't matter who did the coloring of the wig. It doesn't matter how long the coloring will last, because people buy new wigs. So why would L'oreal have Beyonce advertising hair coloring?

Now L'oreal doesn't always do this with Beyonce. Usually she seems natural in every commercial. I can rock with the lipstick commercials and all the other make-up commercials she's done with L'oreal, but not these mind game commercials like the one above.

Club Mix (Poem)

I have dreams of becoming a rap star (lol), so I tried to write this poem to a beat. Plus I'm in a club mood. It's a little random, so enjoy.
 Club Mix

He told me I’m bad enough to meet his momma
But I don’t even know what his name is
All I know is I met him at the club
He told me to back that thang up
But first swallow whatever’s in his cup
So I drank and put in work as we danced
And when I tried to leave he followed me
Said he wanted to spend the night with me
Maybe spend his life with me
He said if I gave him some ass
He’d always make sure I had some cash
But he was wrong
I couldn’t be his wifey
Couldn’t even play the girlfriend
Maybe the other woman
But for one night only
Every second of every minute it was on the tip of my tongue
To ask him what his name was
But the Petron had me gone and completely forgetful
So I stumbled away just for him to follow my every trace
“You bad enough to meet my momma” he said
And as I was about to ask him what his momma’s name was
My favorite song came on
And I backed up on another dude as I moved to the words
“I wanna smash the dj”
 Finally he left me alone

50 Cent, The Best Business Man of 2011

While Oprah is possibly the best business woman ever, 50 Cent is definitely the best business man of 2011.

Some people show their business credentials by showing how much money is in their bank accounts. Others do it by buying as many fabulous material possessions as possible. 50 Cent uses his mouth and writing skills to show off his business credentials. This month alone 50 Cent has done a lot to increase his millionaire and genius status. His most recent act was creating a beef with Q, the owner of http://worldstarhiphop.com.

The thing about these beefs is we always know that they aren't real, but we always fall for them. It's probably because they're so fun. Well, the way 50 Cent started this beef was he announced through his twitter that world star hip hop was gone. I, along with millions of others, immediately checked and the website was non exist. Then 50 Cent started tweeting about how people should go to his website http://thisis50.com. Immediately he had millions of viewers. He also advertised his headphones, which I'm sure someone bought.

While 50 Cent's website and headphones were receiving more attention, people were also trying to figure out what happened to "World Star Hip Hop." There were rumors such as the federal government had shut the website down and that the site was simply having technical difficulties. Well, while no one knows what happened the website is back up and again it was announced through twitter.

There are still some people who are curious about what happened, but there's no doubt in all of our minds that 50 Cent is the best business man of 2011. In less than an hour he promoted headphone and had millions of viewers to his website.

WorldStarHipHop.com Has Been Murdered And More Sites Might Disappear Soon

A few minutes ago I logged onto my twitter and noticed that 50 Cent was tweeting about worldstarhiphop.com. Well, really he was talking about the lack of it. I don't know when the website disappeared from the internet, but I have frequented it often for music. Well, 50 Cent must not have liked all the attention the site was getting, because now he's bragging about killing it. The tweets are below.

"I don't know why people underestimate me. I just shut down WORLDSTAR for future advertising contact thisis50.com suckers lol"

"I put worldstar to bed, you don't believe try me I will shut your sh*t down. Lol"

"I predict 2 more web sites will shut down this week. Take a guess who they are. I'm sick of the hate I'm to strong."

"Me and @ don't thing worldstar was good representation of black people as a hole. We will present better"

Quotes via http://twitter.com/50cent

I don't know how 50 Cent did it, but according to his tweets which I posted above he's trying to get rid of more popular websites in the future.

Lyricist Lounge: Jennifer Hudson Where You At

In 2010 Jennifer Hudson was busy promoting her new skinny figure, but she has finally released new music for this year. Her new song is called "Where You At." Listen below.

Steve Harvey's Ex Wife Needs To Shut Up

Over the weekend Mary Harvey, Steve Harvey's ex wife of 15 years, released a series of youtube videos revealing all the dirty stuff Steve did during their marriage. She mentioned all of the other women, reading a letter where one of the mistresses talked about the pain he caused and the abortion she went through, and she even dragged Steve's current wife into the messiness. Mary said Steve's current wife was one of the other women and was so comfortable with her role that she would call up to the house and ask for Steve.

Clearly, his ex wife went through a lot during their marriage. Clearly she must have loved him for it to last 15 years. However, the woman needs to shut up. She needs to stop complaining and go find her a better man, but more importantly she needs to stop complaining because it makes her look bad.

Steve Harvey isn't the perfect man. That's one reason why his gospel comedy series on BET has been called "God Ain't Through With Me Yet." God is continually working on Steve. That's why he told us that he hasn't always been a good man. He may not have told us all the dirty details, but he let us know. In fact when he was promoting his first book "Think Like A Lady, Act Like A Man" he let us know that he'd come up with the chapters through experiences.

So therefore we knew Steve Harvey wasn't perfect. We knew he'd made mistakes (even if we didn't know what they were). If we knew all of that we shouldn't let what Mary Harvey is saying  influence our thinking. Instead we should be telling her to shut up and move on.

Last Night I Fell In Love (A Versace Shoe Story)

Last night while looking at Necolebitchie.com I fell in love with some Versace heels. Actually they were being worn by Nicki Minaj, who's style has gotten 200% better lately. Just looking at a picture of the heels gives makes me want to have  pair of them. To the right is a picture of Nicki Minaj having fun in them. The rest of her outfit doesn't even matter.

Hood Proof or Jail Bait? (Celebrity Tattoos That Make You Wonder)

This month the media has seen some interesting tattoos from both criminals and celebrities with criminal records. Two tattoos that come into mind is Diabla's (from Beyond Scared Straight) chain tattoo and then mustache tattoo and Gucci Mane's ice cream cone tattoo. This made me think while they're all trying to show the world that they're bad, what tattoos make a celebrity hood proof and which just  leave them jail bait?

Before you read on:
Hood Proof: The celebrity or criminal can do some real damage to you.
Jail Bait: The celebrity or criminal gets raped a lot behind bars.

Sunday Reflections: Do Sex Friends Exist? (No Strings Attached Movie Review)

No Strings Attached Movie Review
"We're sex friends"

"It looks like a crime scene in my pants."

"I don't need you. I can take care of myself."

"Fuck yeah"

"You have a nice penis"

Do sex friends really exist? Well that's the basis of the movie "No Strings Attached." The main character Adam keeps audiences laughing as he tries not to get attached to the girl he's hopping in the bed with. The girl, on the other hand, takes pride in sex because she's afraid of commitment. It sounds like they should become the best of sex buddies, right? Well, you'll have to watch the movie to see how it turns out. It's worth the $10 (or whatever price your movie charges).

Above is just some of the funny quotes I pulled from the movie. However, as entertaining as the movie was it left me think about whether sex friends can exist. Do you have to create rules? To me it seems as if rules would create a commitment which in turn would create strings. Do you have to be spontaneous? Some people get comfortable with spontaneous acts that include the same person. Even more can you break up from a sex friend? I once tried to tell a guy to start seeing other girls and not call me again, but he didn't take it too well.

On a similar note in 2010 Ludacris worked hard on becoming the hype man in music videos. This year he's worked on being that side guy in the movies. I think I'll give him the nickname of Sidekick if he continues up with this habit. Then again everyone needs a sidekick and I wouldn't mind Ludacris being mines.

Saturday Reflections: Trying To Be Perfect Ruins Your Public Image

Everyone strives to look a certain way in front of others. Some people believe they don't, but we all do. For example I have a friend who says she doesn't care what anyone thinks. However, when it comes to job interviews she dresses to impress the interviewers. About a year ago this same friend decided to go natural. The only reason people are abandoning perms is because some influenced them. This friend is also afraid of what pictures of her goes on the internet, because in all essence she cares about the image she puts out to others. See, everyone strives to impress, but trying to be perfect can also ruin our public image.

Your public image is the way people (particularly the ones who look up to you or down on you) see you over time. They influence your actions, your looks, and even your dreams. However, the changes you go through because of these people can ruin you. Just ask Lil Kim, Sammy Sosa, Vibz Kartel, and Beyonce.

Friday Fashion Flashback

Starting today I'm going to do a flashback of my favorite fashions from the week. Now as everyone knows the Golden Globes was last Sunday. Below are a few of my favorite fashions from the awards show.

Lyricist Lounge: 50 Cent New Year Freestyle

My future husband 50 Cent has been absent from the music game for a while, but for 2011 he's back. Last night he uploaded a new freestyle song called "Happy New Year." Check it out below.

Back Door Boyfriends, A Lesson From Wendy Williams

On yesterday's show of Wendy Williams, Wendy talked about back door boyfriends. Well, actually she started off by talking about some drama that started with Christina Aguilera and her 22 year old boyfriend. Then Wendy went on to say that Christina is taking her boyfriend out in public too much. She said that Christina's boyfriend is a back door boyfriend, also called a man that you kick out the house with the trash in the morning. I found the phrase back door boyfriend interesting, so I looked on the internet to see what else I could find.

After doing some research I found out that Travis Porter has a song called "Back Door." The song is about how every time the woman's boyfriend gives her trouble she calls him up to give her the love (or sex) she needs. That explains why Christina's boyfriend  would be dating her before her marriage is officially over. The song is below.

On a similar note there can be back door girlfriends too. I also passed up this news story that was kind of funny. It was about a doctor who tried to get into her boyfriend's house to surprise him. She couldn't get in through the back door, so she tried the chimney. Unfortunately she died of asphyxiation while waiting for him. The story happened three months ago and can be found here. Who logically tries to get into a house through the chimney?

Thursday's Reflections of Sexy: Bert Belasco

The other cast member of "Let's Stay Together" that's showing men how to treat their women is Bert Belasco.

On the show he's preparing to get married, but already living with his fiancée. Check out his sexiness in the picture to the right.

Thursday's Reflections of Sexy: RonReaco Lee

There's a new show on BET called "Let's Stay Together." The show features two sexy men who are definitely keeping their women happy. One of those men is RonReaco Lee.

The thing about RonReaco Lee is I've always found him sexy. His sexy on this new show. He was sexy in his small role in the movie "For Colored Girls," although he played a bad guy. He was sexy back when he was on the show "Girlfriends." He's just always oozed sexiness. Just look at his pictures and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thursday's Reflections of Sexy: Drake

Recently while browsing blogs I noticed two different posts yesterday that were dedicated to Drake. Both posts came from http://gossiponthis.com.

In one post they talked about how Drake is a fan of Winnie the Pooh. Actually Winnie is supposed to be the inspiration for Drake's second album. Then in another post they highlighted the fact that Drake likes to pose with his shirt off.

To both posts all I can say is "That's Sexy."

Thursday's Reflections of Sexy: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In 2010 I started a sexiest men series on my blog, but stopped. Well it's a new year and I'm updating again. Every Thursday I plan to dedicate every post to some sexy men in the entertainment industry. Today's post features Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This year a new season of "What Chilli Wants" started and the first man Chilli had her eyes on was Floyd. She and Floyd flirted and then tried to get series. Floyd failed when it came to showing any "real" signs of feelings for her. However, one thing stood out.

Floyd's fineness.

Whether he is ready for commitment or not Floyd is fine. I'd be happy to flirt with him for the next 30 years without a real commitment. It's too bad Chilli had to give him the boot.

P.S. Chilli should have hung in there longer. Word on the street is that sexy Floyd Mayweather is engaged. Chilli could have been the lucky one or I could have been the lucky girl if I would have met him before his fiancée.

Milk & Honery (Web Series)

As much as I love television, the internet continues to find new ways to seduce me. The newest thing that has caught my attention is an upcoming web series called "Milk And Honey."

milk + honey series trailer from brown paper dolls on Vimeo.

From the preview the show looks like it will be filled with fun times, romance, and drama. I'm anticipating watching it.
"Milk And Honey" was created by Brown Paper Dolls Productions and the executive producer is Idris Elbra. It will star Lance Gross, Debbie Allen, Bryce Wilson, and Ashali Kamali. So far there is no release date for the show.

Throwback Video (Lil Kim on Yo MTV Raps)

Lately I've seen a lot of posts on skin lightening. Unfortunately that issues will never die. Well, I'm preparing a blog post of my own on the issue, but before I want to show you something. The following features Lil Kim on Yo MTV Raps. It's the Queen Bee before the plastic surgery, the skin lightening, the beefs, and the controversy. She was just a beautiful happy dark skinned woman that a lot of little girls and women admired.

Halle Berry Doesn't Want To Play Aretha Franklin

Although Aretha Franklin personally requested Halle Berry to play her in a biopic, Halle Berry has turned the role down. There are many reasons to why Halle shouldn't play Aretha in a movie, but her reason is because she can't sing. She recently told reporters that she wouldn't do Aretha the justice that she deserves.

If I could carry a tune, I'd consider it.”
“Someone should tell Aretha that I can't do her justice.”

The problem with the above quote is Halle Berry has played singers in movies before. The real reasons Halle Berry should be turning the role down is because she looks nothing like Aretha Franklin. Halle is mixed while Aretha is not. Halle has always been skinny while Aretha has always been a thick girl.
Now on the other hand Halle should go on and do the role. She hasn't played in a black centered movie since the 90's. I think either Aretha Franklin will convince Halle Berry to take the role soon or Halle will just have a change of heart. After all, if singing is her only reason for turning the role down someone will remind her of a certain thing called lip-singing.

January 2011 Inspirational Stars (Regina King, Monica, Halle Berry)

It's a new year and since last year I've been looking for a change that would help mold me more into the woman I'm supposed to be. The first step after college, in my opinion, was to change up my hair. The one thing I knew I wanted to do with my hair was cut it and that happened. The hairstyle I rocked towards the later half of last year was inspired by the 80's.

While it was great I was looking for better. Before I got the 80's inspired haircut I'd been looking at pictures of Monica. The more I looked at her the more I thought her hairstyle would definitely be the one to make me look better. Well actually in 2010 Monica did the long side bang, but I didn't want that. I just wanted the short cut. I didn't get it right away.

Lyricist Lounge: Mya Fabulous Life

Singer Mya is back and today she released a new song in Japan. Although it's for her Japan audience it has a crossover feel to it. It's called "Fabulous Life" and it sound fabulous. Check out a snippet of the song below.

Mommy's In Need (Short Story)

Mommy’s In Need
By Miss Too Sexy aka Lashuntrice
The following fiction story was inspired by a post a blogger wrote a few days ago.

“Mommy,” the little boy cried. He was standing in the middle of the living room with only a diaper on. He held onto the coffee table tightly, which was placed in front of the sofa, because he could barely walk. His face was wet with tears and snot dripping from his nose. “Mommy,” he called out yearning for attention.
“What?” I said knowing he couldn’t form a complete sentence to ask for what he wanted. He let go of the table to reach out to me, but fell in the process. He cried harder and I knew that I would eventually have to pick him up. But it wasn’t going to happen in the outfit I had on. “Hold on,” I said while running to the room. It wasn’t like he could go anywhere anyway.
I grabbed at the zipper to the tight red dress I had on so I could take it off. As I stared in the mirror I admired myself. My hair was on point, my nails were done to perfection, and my skin was glowing. As the dress fell to the floor I admired my figure. My breasts screamed to be let out of the nice new bra I had on and my thong panties were just cheap enough to be ripped off easily. I found a shirt in one of my dresser drawers and threw it on.
When I walked back into the living room he was still laying on the floor, but he’d stopped crying. I picked him up anyway and stared at him. “Let’s get you cleaned up.” I cleaned his face up and changed his diaper. Then I found a shirt and some pants to throw on him.
“Let me get you something to eat.” I went into the kitchen still carrying him. When I looked into the pantry I couldn’t find any food. Then I looked in the refrigerator. There was some Kool-Aid. “Do you want something to drink? That’s the best I can do.” I filled a bottle up, took him back into the living room, sat him on the couch, and handed him the bottle just in time to hear a knock on the door.
Before answering I looked around the room. It was a mess. There was dirty laundry thrown in one corner of the living room, some plates that needed to be washed sat up on the coffee table, and toys that my parents continued to buy were everywhere. It was too late to clean up, so the next step was to answer the door.
“Who is it?” I asked, even though I already knew who was coming over.
“It’s me,” he said. My heart melted a little at the sound of the man’s voice that stood on the other side of the door. His name was Trey. Well I didn’t think that was his real name, but online he said to call him Trey. We’d been talking online for a week and I was anticipating meeting him in person. I stared around at my place one more time and then opened the door.
“Hey,” I said. “I’ve been waiting for you.” He stared me down. I’d forgotten that I had on an oversized shirt, so I was hoping he wasn’t judging me for it. Then he started looking around. I watched as his eyes landed on my son. “Don’t worry about him. He won’t bother us.”
“Okay.” Just as Trey responded my son started crying again. I didn’t want to seem like a bad mother, so I ran over to see what was wrong with him. His bottle was empty.
“I’ll be right back,” I told Trey. I quickly filled the bottle up with more Kool-Aid, then ran back, handed the bottle to my son, and then focused all my attention on Trey.
“Are you ready for a night of passion?” I grabbed Trey’s hand and guided him toward the bedroom.
“Are you just going to leave your kid by himself?” he asked.
“That would be wrong,” I responded cracking a smile. “That’s the door to the bedroom. I’ll be right back.” I watched as he walked into the bedroom. Then I picked my son up and started talking to him.
“All I’m trying to do is have some fun tonight. I’m tired of being around only you all the time. Plus mommy’s in need. If I take you in the room will you promise to be good?” I paused even though I knew he wouldn’t give an answer. “Be good, okay.”
I walked into the room with my son in my arms. I just hoped Trey wouldn’t find it weird. I sat him in his crib. “Be good,” I whispered.
“So are you ready?” I said to Trey in a sexy voice. He laughed a little and I wasn’t sure why. “I’m sorry about the kid. He had nowhere else to go.”
“It’s cool,” he said, but the look on his face said it wasn’t cool. I had to do something to change his mood, so I took the shirt off. His expression changed. That’s when I knew it was going to be a good night after all.

Lyricist Lounge: Lil Kim You Be Killin' Em

Although I still think Lil Kim should consider going back into retirement, I like her motivation to be the Queen B again. Her latest song to be released is a remix to Fabolous' song "You Be Killin 'Em." Check it out below.

Fabulously Single Or Ready To Settle Down?

The Fabulously Single List
There's this blog that I follow called http://thesingleyear.com. It's all about a girl who's taking a break from being single for a year. We all know that getting dates is easy for a girl, but refraining from dating is harder. So earlier today I read this blog post by her on being Fabulously Single. I capitalized those words, because the sole purpose of the post was for this girl to talk about a list she created to see why it's good for her to be in a relationship with herself. She even found a video that encouraged her with her list.

I don't know how old this girl is, but I do know that she's concentrating hard on staying by herself. However, one of my friends once told me that her mother believes the first 25 years of your life is meant for you. Then it's time to start concentrating on making a family. After all according to society your family raises you and then you create a family of your own once you're grown. However, the girl over the above blog is really working on a point (that she probably hasn't realized yet). She's saying forget about society and do you by yourself.

So in a reality where you don't get younger should the sole purpose be to focus solely on loving yourself, achieving all that you want on your own time, and essentially pushing the opposite sex away? Or should you set a point in time where it's time to settle down and create a family that society works so hard to educate you on during the years you're growing up?

(P.S. At 24 almost all of the love-thirsty people I've known are in a relationships. However, the goal driven people who don't care what anyone else think are still single. Plus I'm starting to think more and more about that first 25 years to yourself idea.)
